One of the religious texts for the LDS Church is the Doctrine and Covenants. It has a scripture verse about being anxiously engaged in a good cause. That seems to fit today.
David proposed on Saturday and I'm happily, blissfully in a complete state of shock. The reality is beginning to set in as people ask about dates and dresses and rings. David and I agree that we're planning a marriage-as opposed to just planning a wedding-and try to let that keep us grounded. But it's hard, when you feel like you're floating in mid-air all the time.
I'm not sure about being anxious or whether David qualifies as a "cause" or just something really great. But however inexact the application of the verse, the idea is the same. I'm happy and involved and wrapped up and overwhelmed and absorbed in something really exciting, wonderful, and good.

Congratulations! I'm so very happy for your happiness. Also, this is great news. And in addition - a fantabulous future lies in store for the both of you!
Thanks, Crockenwaffel! You write great dialogue. It sounds like a character from Shakespeare--one of the comedies, of course.
Whooo!! I was the same way I was more excited for the marriage than the wedding, I say elope!! Congrats!!
